John Kim-Ping Ng: EXP 3 FINAL SUBMISSION (FINAL OUTPUTS)

In relation to my theory, the stairs connected from the squarehouse to the school of architecture
are designed and fitted with night lights to illuminate the way into the school, ultimately using light to
reveal a specific form to our eyes.

The central component of the scheme is the gallery, i have position the gallery to be the
core atrium of the building by having all circulation pass through this space. The reason for this
being that the gallery provides an ephemeral experience as students and teachers alike experience the
mystical patterns cast by the shadows and the sun which are projected onto the ground from the screen.

In my scheme i wanted to establish certain spaces and forms through the medium of light,
and thus from taking inspiration from Tadao Ando's Koshino House, The building is able to change the
users perception of spaces via the relationship between the light and the shadow.

The building aligns and is derived from the theory as
form is being defined by luminosity and shadow, shaping the individuals perception of space as
brought about by the varied openings in the ceiling.
