EXP 2 WEEK 3 Lumion Light rail Station

Aerial Shot

The  concepts that were chosen from Oscar Niemeyer and Kazuyo Sejima were the ideas of using architectural design and structure to framing public space via facilitating particular outlooks and adding layering in design enabled for free flowing fluidity. Both concepts seeking to interlink with the theme of  sustainability as the concept of framing public space creates a multitude of openings and and windows to allow natural light to pass through, hence lowering need for artificial lighting.

The intergration of a large bold geometric structure allows for the framing of the Arch which create two particular spaces that allowed users to inhabit and experience particular views. with light rail travelling through the space provided and moving cars underground

Interior View

In terms of the interior the many components of creating layers of levels without extending them to the walls naturally encourages a range of free flowing circulation between floors.

Exterior View 2

curved arch on the second floor creates an inhabitable space that affects how users look into and out of the space.

Exterior View 3

Another aspect of the building that encourages the framing of space is the abundance of windows providing outlooks in all directions. the rectangular patterns situated underneath the curved super geometry allow for the users perspective and view to be "framed" by architecture. sustainability is embodied through the natural light bouncing off the white surfaces decreasing need for energy used for artificial lighting.
